Christina Heide

Ms. Heide is a Privacy Program and Policy Specialist with the Office for Civil Rights within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). She works primarily on policy matters related to the HIPAA Privacy Rule and has been involved in the development of both the regulations and guidance. Ms. Heide came to DHHS in August 1999 to assist the Department in developing the Rule. Prior to working with DHHS, she served as a regulatory and policy consultant to the U.S. Department of Energy. Ms. Heide's work in this capacity focused on the development and implementation of a number of safety and health-related policies, regulations, guidance, and training.
