2009 National Eye Health Education Conference:
Working Together to Make a Difference
Welcome to the Ninth National Eye Health Education conference Web site.
The theme of this conference is Working Together to Make a Difference. This goal will be met through the following objectives:
- Provide opportunities to build collaborations between NEHEP Partnership organizations.
- Identify strategies for addressing eye health at the local level.
- Discuss how the NEHEP Partnership can facilitate the exchange of information among individuals, groups, and institutions.
- Explore diverse and innovative ways of translating vision research into action.
- Develop strategies for strengthening the role of vision on the public health agenda.
The Ninth NEHEP conference will be held on March 11–14, 2009, in the Sofitel Philadelphia Hotel in historic Philadelphia, PA. This beautiful hotel is the centerpiece of Philadelphia’s new French Quarter, just steps away from Rittenhouse Square and within walking distance of many fabulous restaurants and shops.
Philadelphia is located at the confluence of the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers in eastern Pennsylvania and is conveniently accessible by airplane, train, and automobile.
